She was one of a kind! Strong willed and always took on the world. She was about 2 years old , when her Mother took in a Family that had little children with no where to go. Not Knowing Her Mother laid the baby down with her and she contracted Polio that affected her Speech , Hearing and her Legs. She had to learn to walk again she was determined and started walking again. She stopped going to school in the 3rd grade because the Children made fun of the way she walked and talked.
Her Brother John Thomas Davenport taught her to read and write and she so loved to read. But now she is where there is no Cripples , no one to make fun of her. If you knew her you know she was a special Lady. She Laid and prayed 4 days straight for her Baby Son to get saved before she died. I really Believe she will know because it was her heart desire. Thank you Mom for being a wonderful Mother , Teacher and Best Friend. My Life is empty without you.
