Mrs. Jewell Mildred Powell Mitchell Pate, age 85, of Whitesburg, GA passed away Sunday September 1, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glenda Fay Arrington, after several years of declining health.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pate were conducted Thursday September 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Tom Stutts & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jody Mitchell officiating. Music was offered by Greg Neighbors. Those serving as pallbearers were Shawn Thrasher, Matthew Johnson, Dustin Youngblood, and Michael Armstrong.

The interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
