The sweetest most gentle person; a precious gift from God on loan for 46 years. I recall your wedding day with delight. Striking and beautiful with a brand new husband, the proud John, by your side. God blessed your whole family through you because they are all the richer for having you as such a significant person in their lives. xxxxxxxxxx

One special lady, just can't believe you are gone.
"Goodbye may seem forever. Farewell is like the end, but in my heart is the memory and there you will always be".
Till we meet again, keep looking for the fairies. Xxx

Sports Day

July 20, 2013

This was taken in July 1990. Mum's work had organised some sporting charity event in Edinburgh. I was home from Switzerland for a holiday, so we thought it would be a good family day out. It was so cold, as you see from the pullovers. Didn't stop us having fun and sharing a few bottles of wine. In fact I'm sure this ended up in a pub crawl around Edinburgh with some of the sporting teams...

Sorry about quality of photo, didn't know how to resize.

Ironing Board Adventure

July 20, 2013

I decided Jill and I were going to have an adventure in the livingroom, using nothing but mum's ironing board. I convinced Jill to help me put up the ironing board. We both sat cross-legged on the board, pretending to paddle to a tropical island.

Suddenly and very slowly we started sinking.'Quick Jill, you scoop the water out the canoe and I'll keep paddling' Within seconds we crashed to the floor. No we hadn't really sunk. The legs on the ironing board had buckled and given up!

Sore bottom for me, Jill started crying before mum even touched her (quite a good tactic of getting out of it) Both Jill and I went without spangles for weeks.

Might tell you later about when we ran an 'Art Gallery' in our bedroom xx

The Aliens

July 19, 2013
How I remember all our adventures as I grew up with you and your fabulous sisters. The one that sticks in my mind is deciding that Aliens had landed after we found a white sticky substance in the flats down from our houses. We were so excited telling our mums that aliens had landed we even convinced our dads to come and look. Ok so it was just a wet tissue but the excitement we created was hilarious to this day. Xx
