His Life
October 23, 2013

Today, we celebrate the life of one of God’s most faithful servants, Mr. Jimmy Lewis Hall.  Jimmy was the seventeenth and last child born to the late Eddie B. and Sallie Mae Hall on February 11, 1950 in Troup County, Georgia.  He graduated from Ethel W. Kight High School in Lagrange, Georgia.  After graduation, he worked several years as a Construction Inspector for the City of Atlanta.   He was called to heaven on October 18, 2013.

In his earlier years, he was a member of McGhee Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Hogansville, Georgia.  However, during the latter part of his life while in his early forties, Jimmy became a devoted member of Destiny Worship Center International in Hogansville, Georgia, then known as Miracle Ministries of Jesus Christ (MMJC).  After attending MMJC for a few weeks as a church visitor, Jimmy decided it was time for him to fully commit his life to the Lord and became a full-time active member of MMJC.  As a member, he served as a Deacon and later an Elder, and he was a vital part of several ministries including the praise team, hospitality committee, and intercessory prayer team.

His interests included reading, singing, cooking, and drawing.  However, he devoted much of his time and energy to serving God.  Jimmy was known to many as the soft-spoken man who was full of wisdom and knowledge, and he was always enjoyed by the many people he interacted with.

Mr. Hall is survived by his sister Catherine Hines (Eddie Roy), and brothers Charlie Mason Hall (Shirley), and George Hall (Margie); his son, Quinton Dean, and four daughters, Tammy Butler (Carlos), Trina Hall, Sharissa Hall, and Manesra Hall; grandchildren TyQuadre Rosser, TyQuavious Rosser, and Tia Butler; his sister in-law Jeanette Cotton, and four brother in-laws Willie Cotton (Effie), J.C Cotton (Jessie Mae), Jerry Cotton, and Jimmy Cotton (Ann); and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hall, his mother Sallie Mae Hall, father Eddie B. Hall, brothers Willie Claude Hall, Edward Hall, Jerry Hall, and sisters Eddie Mae Hall, Lottie Rosser, Mattie Gamble, and Doris Nelson
