I recall a number of birthdays we spent together with our families: my own birthday being the day after Joannie's. So many good times shared with the people we love dearly. I will never forget Joannie, especially on her birthday.
Love you

My husband and I remember Joan's wonderful cooking as well...many great meals with her, Larry and Kathy (Kat). One of our very best favorites were the broccoli cutlets...served warm or cold--they were always a treat. Not a day goes by that we do not think of her with fond memories and lots of love.
Cooking with Mommy
My mother always loved to cook. For years she would try and get me to and I just couldn't be botherd. Aside from holiday cookies and struffoli, or as she called them, gigiteles. Luckily as I got older, I started to appreciate cooking and loved the time we spent together. She taught me so many things that you could never learn in a classroom, it was like training with a master chef, especially since if you did it wrong she would get very Chef Ramsey on you lol.
I am fortunate enough to have all of her recipes now, some I have made with her, some on my own, and some never. I cannot wait to continue making them, I feel like she is still here with me when I cook helping everything turn out right, and if it doesn't, just like her, I take it very personally.
Love you mommy. Thinking about you a lot today, and everyday.
