7 years.. 7 years of not hearing your laugh, your voice and guidance. These last 7 years without you has changed me. A piece of my heart is forever gone. You would loved to see the kids grow. Joleigh watches guys and dolls and grease. She is our tiny dancer. Emma is so smart. Taylor and ashton are men now and we love talking about you. I thank God for the time I got with you. leigh

Thinking of you today as I do every day.  Sometimes I tell a story and start to laugh to myself because  I could hear your response in my head.  Sometimes I'll say something to my husband and he'll say,  you sound just like your brother Joe. That's not such a bad thing. I miss you Joe and as I get closer to the end of my time on this Earth I would like to believe in what we were taught, that  I'll see you again.  Love you

Kansas City

No story...Just a line to say how much I have been missing you. I sometimes go to the phone and dial you number....Then it hits me...You are not going to be there.  I wait for your phone calls at night while your on the road traveling. Oh what I would give to just hear you sing one more time...Kansas City Here I Come...I miss you big brother.....Not a day goes by that I don't think of you...Oh how I wish I could laugh again the way you made me laugh...Give Dad, Mom and Jeff a big hug and tell them I miss them so....I promised you I would look up at the sky every day and Smile....It's hard but I do it....Just for you...And whisper "Kansas City"

Don't

January 29, 2013

Don't be sad, don't cry, don't feel afraid, don't feel lonely, don't question, don't be angry.  All the things I wish I could hear your voice whispering in my ear   Miss you so much.

Strength

January 12, 2013

My brother Joe and I would talk every morning on my way to work.  I would often ask "does Virg mind"?  He would assure me, no, don't be stupid!  When I was taking care of our mother before she past he would say, your so strong.  I never told him, he was my strength.  He would say, Trish, (he never called me Pat) I appreciate all you do for ma, I'm so far away and I don't have to worry because your there with her.  No matter what adversity he faced he was the champ.  We had so much fun when we were together.  All of us siblings have the same traits, mannerism, sense of humor.  We are almost like clone personalities.  My dad was lacking that but not my mom.  He would make my father laugh so hard.  I could hear my father now, Maa where did you come from?  The last time he came home before my father past was my parents forty anniversery.  The cake was a picture of them when they were young.  He had my father laughing so hard about eating the cake with ma on it... if most know what I mean.  Thank you brother for bringing only joy, no heartache into my life.  You were by far the best.  It's not going to be easy day to day not hearing your voice.  But I carry you all the days of my life with me.  I love you so very much.

Dreamer

Joe,
Thank you for the time I had with you. Thank you for the happiness you brought to my mom. You lit a light inside of her and i will be forever great-full for that. Joe and mom would have sunday lunch for my wife and I. We would eat (thank you joe for cooking, love you mom), laugh and talk for a while. We would talk about are weeks, our jobs and how life was going. But the best talks were dreams. Joe and i could go on forever on the possibilities of dreams. Thank you for always making the stars seem so close, in the words of James Dean "Dream as if you have forever, live as if you only have today." Thank you Joe for everything, I will miss you.
