John Russell Beck Sr., 88, a lifetime resident of Creedmoor passed away Thursday, April 5th at the VA Hospital’s Hospice Unit in Durham.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Samuel and Esther Horton Beck. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and owner and operator of Beck’s Tires and Recapping Service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, April 9th 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Lenny Rogers. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are his son John R. Beck Jr. and wife Stephanie of Creedmoor and their children Melanie Beck and David Beck of Durham. He was preceded in death by his wife Katie Holder Beck.

Visitation 12:30-2:00 PM Monday, April 9th 2012 prior to the funeral services at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and after the service at the home of his son and daughter–in-law.
