1957-2011

Longtime Hayden resident John Richard Carroll passed away October 15, 2011.  John was born a twin on August 5, 1957, in Hayden, CO to Marvin and Kathleen "Miles" Carroll.  In the past three years, John had moved to Grand Junction, CO.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was passionate about both sports and loved being in the mountains and outdoors of Colorado.

John was an expert journeyman welder.  Throughout the years, he worked in power plants, coal mines as well as having his own business.  Most recently, he worked with Union Local #145, out of Grand Junction, CO.

He is survived by his father, Marvin Carroll; brothers William Railsback, David Carroll, and Anthony Carroll of Grand Junction, CO, and Joseph Carroll of Steamboat Springs, CO; half brothers Daniel Carroll of Grand Junction, CO, and Kenneth Carroll of Independence MO;, and numerous nieces and nephews.

During his marriage to Alice Carroll Greene, he was a father and parent to her children, Brandon Ford and Brianna Ford of Greeley, CO.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Miles Carroll, and his brother Leon Carroll. 

A service was held October 19, 2011, at the Congregational Church in Hayden, CO.  The service was followed by a luncheon in the parish hall.
