John Charles McCuish Jr. (Chickie) 75 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015.

He was born May 18, 1940 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia Canada, Son of John and Lillian MacCuish.

John held a Florida Membership to the Moose Lodge and also enjoyed fishing, gardening and horse racing.  Most of all the proud owner of John C McCuish Lawn Service for over 20 years in the Charlotte County area.  Prior to moving to Florida, John owned and operated Sunny Brae Roofing for many years.

He is survived by his loving family, Wife Julie, Step Son’s Ryan and Brady Strong of Port Charlotte, FL, Son John C McCuish III (Lucy Ann), Daughters Susan MacNeil (Shane), and Beth MacCuish and several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He is also survived by his Mother Lillian MacCuish, Brother, David MacCuish (Doreen), Sisters Donna Galbraith (Pete), Dianne Swain, Joan Pellerine (Jerome) of Canada.

The love he had for all his pets was unconditional.

John was predeceased by his Father, John Charles McCuish (Chick), Daughter Cindy MacCuish, Brother, James MacCuish, Niece, Denise Niles and Brother in Law Ernie Moser.
