Broken toe

August 26, 2015

When my brother was a teenager the church we went to had a "treasure hunt" for something in the Bible.  We were given clues and he and mom were trying to be the first one to find the answer to the clues.  Mom succeeded in finding it before John.  She was bragging about finding the answer when John swept by her and snatched the piece of paper out of her hand.  she proceeded to fun after him in her socks to get the paper back.  She slid into the washer and her toes got bent backward.  She always blamed him kiddingly about her broken toes.  We had a lot of fun when we were growing up.

Treasure Hunt

July 15, 2015

John was the kind of person who liked to kid around and be mysterious.  I was told that one of the things that would be missed the most was his tendency to hide treasures for his daughter to find somewhere in his apartment and then send her on a "treasure" hunt to find the clues that would eventually lead her to the prize!
