John “Johnny” Franklin Preddy , 74, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, October 12th 2013 at his home.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Leo Clifton and Annie Lou Hicks Preddy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Grove Hill Church, owner- operator of Eastgate Barber Shop in Raleigh and worked at City Barber Shop in Creedmoor for ten years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Lemar Wheeler. Burial will be in the Strother –Mitchell Cemetery at the Preddy Farm in Wilton.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Edna Rose Adcock Preddy of the home, three sons, Clifton M. Preddy (Lisa) of Wilton, Billy F. Preddy (Jenni) and David W. Preddy (Farrah) all of Wilton, two brothers, Leo James Preddy and Thomas Warren Preddy, both of Wilton, three granddaughters, Georgia A. Preddy, Montana L. Preddy, Addison Sidney Preddy and two grandsons, Chase M. Preddy and Dennis John Preddy.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening, October 13, 2013 from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.
Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Preddy family.
