Roxanne -it does our heart good to know you were with mom and dad at the manor for so many years, I just have to share the story you told us when we were there today.

Mom had her stroke and was in the manor for quite awhile before dad joined her. Being a nursing home there are a fair amount of outbreaks where visitors are strictly regulated and sometimes not allowed at all. Dad bought some walkie talkies so that if it ever happened and he couldn't visit he would ask the staff to bring mom beside the walkie talkie so they could still talk for hours.

Now that is what love is all about. Dad told mom as she lay dying that they had a date to meet on the other side.

I like to think they are finally together again.
