John Grove was born in Williamsburg, PA on July 26, 1935. He came from humbles beginnings. Their family worked hard but they didn't have much money. When John got a little older, he would stay on a farm taking care of the farm animals early in the morning and then going on to school during the day. He learned hard work from a young age....and lived by the motto of "If you say you're going to do something, then do it."

Some time went on and then Donna became pregnant with Galen. The first boy, so you can image how proud he was of him.

At that time, he was managing a gas station in Williamsburg and the owner really liked john and he wanted to retire to Lehigh Acres, Florida to start a gas station there. So, John, Donna, and Galen left their old life behind and moved to southwest Florida. In Florida, they had 2 girls, Lori and Tracey.

Anyone who knew John well knew that he was a very skilled builder. They say that no one could bid a job like he could. He earned a ton of respect from the community and became the face of John Grove Builders Inc.

After Galen and Donna passed away, his health started to fail him. He would always come back though. He was frustrated because he had limitations that he didn't have to worry about before such as buying medicines and going through many physical procedures.

The last bought with all of this really turned it to the worst. Family was asked to come in.

His service was held on November 21 and many old friends and family attended. We appreciated everyone who came to pay their respects and many of you brought food and Tracey and I were very grateful.
