John Howard Ellington, Jr. 45, a longtime resident of both Granville and Vance County passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home.
He was the son of John Howard Ellington and Judy Grady Currin. He was of the Baptist faith and worked at Ellington Body Shop for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Eakes Funeral Home by Rev. Frank Sossoman. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are a daughter, Alyssa Ellington Hayes (Rodney), a son, Jonathan Christopher Ellington (Courtney) a granddaughter, Avery Ellington and a grandson, Trenton Hayes and his girlfriend, Lisa Mann all of Vance County.
Visitation will be held, Friday April 1, 2016 from 12:30 – 2:00 prior to the funeral at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times the home of his son, Jonathan Ellington.
Flowers are accepted.
