What a kind man. I was lucky enough to have him as my first boss at the shipyard. The word boss was one he never used, you always worked with John, never for him. I was also lucky to become
A friend. What a calm person, the yard could be a zoo and he just stayed the course. I will miss him greatly.

I will miss John, and treasure his name in my Family for generations. John's humor, and sea experience are things I will miss. I could ask him opinions and seek guidance, knowing John would provide both from the position of a knowledgable expert. I enjoyed sailing with John on his boats, never once worrying about the expertise of the Captain & he enjoyed us. Again, we cherish knowing John!
