Leroy Bowman and Anna Bowman were the proud parents of a son, my father, John Jacob Bowman.   He was born on March 8,1926, and grew up in the country near Naegele Creek.  His three siblings were Charles Bowman, Evelyn Seals, and Geraldine Parsons.  Dad attended a one room schoolhouse and later transferred to Consolidated School.  After attending school, he went to work at the Cotton Mill in Cannelton, In.  At the age of eighteen, he left his family and served two years in the United States Army to fight World World II.  Dad returned home after serving in the US Military and met the love of his life, who became his wife, Betty Jean Storm.  Two very special people I call mom and dad soon chose to bring me into this world.  I am so glad I was chosen to be that child.  Nine years later, they gave me a baby sister, Pamela Gail Bowman.  Pam and I were truly blessed with the best parents ever. We love you Dad.
