THOUGHTS

Wisdom 4:7-15

But the just man, though he die early, shall be at rest. For the age that is honorable comes not with the passing of time, nor can it be measured in terms of years. Rather, understanding is the hoary crown for men, an unsullied life, the attainment of old age...

TO MY BELOVED BROTHER, WE SMILED TOGETHER, CRIED TOGETHER, AND EVEN FAUGHT MOST OF THE TIME. THROUGH IT ALL YOU WERE MY INSPIRATION! IN OUR LIFE YOU GAVE ME HOPE WHEN TIMES WERE HARD. EVEN WHEN FOLKS SAID WE SHARED SIMILARITIES.  I SECRETLY KNEW AND BELIEVED YOU LOOKED JUST LIKE ME. NOW IM PACING BACK FORTH, HOPING TO SEE YOU’RE SMILING FACE, & REMBERING ALL THE TIMES WE SHARED. SMILING, FIGTHING AND JOKING I SWEAR THIS ISN’T EVEN FAIR.  YOU WERE OUR STUDERING ‘ELMER FUD’ REMBER I WAS THERE.  THE TOOTSIE ROLL HAD ME ON THE FLOOR FROM LAUGHING UNTIL I COULD’NT LAUGH NO MORE. I MISS YOU SO MUCH I WISH YOU KNEW THERE IS NO ONE ON THIS EARTH THAT COULD EVER REPLACE YOU. YOU ARE MY BABY BROTHER AND YOU WHERE STRONG, NOW I HAVE TO END THIS SAD LOVE POEM…

 I LOVE YOU ALOT; I HOPE YOU SEE BIG SIS IS STILL WAITING UNTIL WE MEET AGIAN

BY KIMBERLY SILVER-JONES

 A Hopi Prayer by Mary E. Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet white doves in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.
