"We are celebrating your 88th birthday here and you are celebrating with Jesus. I am so thankful God gave us so many years together. So many wonderful times: birthdays, Christmases, Easters, weddings, babies, new jobs, new opportunities to serve the Lord. And, days of relaxation and renewal: attending church, vacations, working in the garden, taking a walk or a drive. Love you and miss you!"

"Dear Giordano Family,
I was saddened to hear of John's death. But then I was glad that his suffering had ended and he is now with the Lord. Please accept my condolences. I shared a bond of friendship with John for more than fifty years. . John's testimony was  always the same, loving and caring, showing Christ's love, never judging. I will miss John . But he finished the course and kept the faith"

"When I met John @ First Baptist Church (now Church on the Hill), he watched out for me. Often, he would send opportunities my way that helped financially and materially. We had a bantering humor-filled relationship that was based on a mutual trust and care that is rare. My heart hurts for his family left behind, but I rejoice that he is in the Lord Jesus' presence! See you soon, John!"
