John was a good man and a nice guy to work with. Sorry to hear of his passing. We should be thankful that he enjoyed about 10 years of retirement after leaving the City of Los Angeles.

I had a dream ...

February 28, 2014

When I was a small child, I had a dream that my dad was in a car accident. Later, I learned he had been ... Since then, I have known the power of warnings through dreams and visions. On December 20th, I had another dream about my dad calling my Aunt Linda through a hole in the ground - she passed away the next day.

So - earlier this month, when my calls were unusually unanswered each time my dad fell across my mind, I grew rather alarmed! Neither my brother Kenneth nor I, could reach him via telephone for a couple of days. Kenneth had seen him less then a week prior, and I had seen him a few weeks prior to that. But - God sent me a dream one night and showed me my father laying down in his house, hurt, alone and requiring help.

After being shown the dream, I immediately tried to reach him countless more times via telephone. Then my brother and I, called LAPD to ask if they'd go by his home (he lived out of state) to preform a wellness check for senior citizens. The ambulance accompanied the police, and my father was found in his home - in the same condition that I was shown in the dream a few days prior.

When the paramedics called us back, we were informed that our dad was in a-semi coma state, but rushed to the hospital. I, could hear them speaking to him in the background, but his responses were full of confusion and not very good.

While in the hospital, he seemed to get better at first. Then worst, as we were told to rush to ICU - ASAP! We all rushed, but - God called him home soon after those close to him had arrived ...The Lord giveth, and The Lord taketh away ~ Blessed be the name of the Lord!

I am so glad to have received and utilized the opportunities to not only speak love, but to show love to my dad! I have learned many lifeskills by watching, and being coached by him. Following are just a few: How to NEVER give up; How to take risks (with) the full intentions of winning; How to win gracefully; How to think quick on my feet; How to walk a straight line (as a good gymnist should); How to tickle and spoil a small child rotten; How to use good penmanship; How to not discreminate againt the diversity of religious cultures; How to appreciate family lineage; How to be a very hardworker; How to strive towards academic excellence; Most importantly, how to look past a person's fault and see Jesus Christ!

I am glad to have met him, and to have been his only daughter! He will be loved and missed ... He was my last parent to go on to be with The Lord, and I am very confident we will meet again on the other side ... Love, ya ~ Daddy! R.I.P.
