A native of Atlanta, GA., Mr. Ellison was the son of the late Lester and Sadie Kimbrough Harris.

Residing in Columbus most of his life, he received certification in Nursing at Columbus Technical College. He retired as an Orthopedics Technician from Hughston Sports Hospital after over 20 years of service. Later he was a Private Duty CNA. Mr. Ellison also was employed by the Muscogee County School District as a Paraprofessional, working in Special Education at Clubview Elementary, Richards Middle, Shaw High and Hardaway High Schools. A Catholic in faith, he attended St. Anne Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Harris, Jr. Surviving are one brother, Willie Harris; four sisters, Prophetess Lorraine Harris, Prophetess Shirley Leonard, Dorothy Michael and Barbara Williams; nieces and nephews including devoted niece, Lisa Thomas Cutts(Kenneth), Toland Michael, Kim Polote, Deborah Michael, William Harvey, Michael Pledger, Frederick Harris, Leonardo Williams, Nicholas Harris, Otis Holsey, Linda Young(Glenn), Deann Blade(Michael), Sureane Holsey, Yvonne Harris and Nicole Leonard(Jay); two aunts, Doris Harvey and Julia Kimbrough; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
