Johnny was my brother. He had been troubled since his eye accident. His life was not easy, including how he was raised. My mother blamed herself for his accident, she often stated “if it wasn’t for me, Jonny would never been have been there.” If Jonny was not older and more stronger than me, I would have been the one that got hurt. Things happen in life, it wasn’t her fault, it was an accident that no one could have prevented. I was there and remember it as if it was yesterday. Though we had a lot to deal with as children and growing up in a disfuntional family, it was what it was.
