JONATHAN RAY HEARDT

4/3/1964-8/29/2010

 

            Jonathan Ray Heardt was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on Friday the 3rd of April, 1964 at 9:36 a.m. to Gerald Dean and Barbara Alice Heardt.

            Jon went to be with his God on August 29, 2010 after being in a serious accident.

            In 1968 Jon moved with his family to Greeley, Colorado where he attended Franklin Elementary School.

            In 1973 the family moved to Eaton, Colorado where Jon finished his elementary and high school education.  Jon excelled in music and was in the band playing trumpet and in the choir.  After high school Jon attended Aims Community College Earning his Associate of Applied Science in Auto Mechanics, graduating with honors.

            During the next several years Jon worked for several dealerships and independent shops including Frank Rogers Chevrolet, Dellenbach Motors, Weld County Garage, Nick Davidson Chevrolet, First Class Truck and Auto Service, T-Com, Ehrlich Motors and H&R Repair and Towing, Inc.

            In 2007 Jon started his own business - Jon Heardt’s Auto Repair All at his home in Milliken, Colorado and was continuing with this business at the time of his death.

            Jon liked to hunt and fish and go camping and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle that he purchased new in 1996 and had ridden over 100,000 miles.

            God was an every day part of Jon’s life and he attended The Rock church in Greeley, Colorado.

            Jon left behind two lovely daughters, Brianna Leigh and Kaitlyn Rae whom he loved so dearly.  Also surviving Jon is his mother, Barbara of Eaton, Colorado – a brother, Thomas Gene (Tom) and wife Andrea of Las Vegas, Nevada – a sister Machelle Marie (Shelley) of Eaton, Colorado – two nieces of Las Vegas, Nevada, April Lyn and Holly Marie Heardt, an uncle and aunt, Jack and Fran Harman of Brush, Colorado, an aunt, Gail Fray of Longmont, Colorado, a cousin Crystal Lynn Baker and husband Dan of Fountain, Colorado and girls Lauren, Jayme and Coree Linker of Brush, Colorado, another cousin Michael Joel  and wife Diane Harman along with daughter Michaela and son Bryce of Wichita, Kansas. Jon also had numerous second cousins on his father’s side of the family.

            Jon was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Dean Heardt, his maternal grandparents, Woodson and Treva Harman and his paternal grandparents, Emanuel and Rachel Heardt.

            Jon leaves his faithful canine companion; pit-bull Max who went everywhere Jon went and now will be living in his new home with another canine friend to help erase the trauma of Jon not being there to play and rough house with him.
