Today marks the 10th anniversary of your departure from this wicked world. You know, I realised that definition of success is fulfilling and finishing what God set us out to accomplish.

Papi Joe, in the context of your accomplishment in your little time on earth, you succeeded son!

I am sure by now you’ve linked up with Angelic Angela. Whilst it’s painful for us humans here on earth, for you guys your death has become a gain!

You’re missed. Keep sleeping Joe! ❤️

Dear Jonathan,
It was like yesterday yet is now nine years ago that you left us here for eternal life. Since then life on earth has never, and will never be same. Liberty Men London lost a President who led with humility and served with passion and steered the ship with distinction and discretion. You were truly a servant-leader in the truer sense of the word. Sleep well, Jonathan. We missed you. And I missed you, Jonathan, the real President.

Its been 9years without you Papa J.I still remember the care and love you showed me.How you treated me well when I first visited English. You asked me what colours of suit we wear and I told you, only God knows who choose the colour you bought, cos its 9years and I still laugh whenever I wear the suit.i just cannot give it out.The colour is one of your colours, only known to you..LOL.You taught me to love and made me know that nomatter what I see,I should still love and hold and cherish my husband.Angela has finally joined you and there marks the end of March birthdays in the Mode family, for now. Both of you have funny dance steps, please dance and amuse the angels.Yes,the pain of loosing you has reduced but it still hurts and with Angy gone too,I feel like I don't have anyone watching my back but its all good.Brother inlaw like no other,Sleep on JMode...Rest On.We will be fine.

On a day like this, I would have been telling you how old you’re getting . Just as well age is not a measure of achievements.

I have known some that have died at 25 and buried at 75, because 50 years of their lives was simply a waste of space! Unlike you, your 39 years was impactful. Some others may well have been forgotten today - NOT YOU Joe!

Rest on son!

Uncle Jonathan,
May you continue to rest in eternal peace.
I remember your lovely smile and words of encouragement. Uncle, You and aunty Kemi always had words of wisdom for us your aburos and you have been a part of my success story.Your funny jokes and singing always made us laugh and cry at thesame time. We miss you very much. Lately I keep remembering one of the songs you used to sing.
Uncle, you should see me now, i have repented from my old ways of picking on my sister and I have managed to put on some weight lol. I also eat in moderation, like a lady (haha).. Till we meet again uncle, then we can sing together, in worship of our Lord and King Jesus.

It takes 7 years for me to accept you aren't coming back,7 years without your smile, your jokes, your selfless love and sacrifices. It's been tough without you, The Mode family has never been the same without Jonathan, our gift from God was taken rather too early, but God knows best, we know you are in a better place!
I miss you Pappy Joe, we have 2 boys now ,Daniel-J and Nathan , both names have a you in them , you are gone but never forgotten, Alero ,olu and Angela are doing fine , we are still learning to do without your calming elderly bro figure to iron things out.Kemi is ok, she's making us proud , your parents are old now , dad turned 80 in Dec , mum hasn't been herself since you left and has some health challenges but she's coping .
I love you Joe and I miss you, it's hard without you but your words and examples guide me though am far from the man you would have loved to see me become, nevertheless, I shall still do my best to keep the family together and pray we have happy moments to cherish and treasure.
We love you and I know you are smiling down at us saying it's beautiful here, run your race and come join me!
Forever missed and always in our hears
Till the day we see again!
love always big bro

It's 4 years already, enough time to get a university degree in Nigeria, but it seems like 4 days ago I said goodbye to you at heathrow only to get the shocking news of your passing on, Joe as I fondly called you its been 4 years since you left us and I am yet to understand why this should have happened and what we may have done differently to keep you here, God knows best and the pain still lingers on. The family is coping but the vacuum your absence created can't be filled by anyone, I miss your kindness, I miss coming to London and you opening your wardrobe and telling me to pick whatever I want, I miss you taking time off work just to take I, mimi and kemi around London, I miss rubbing minds with you when I had an issue in the office or home,I miss you telling me to love my wife, I miss your funny dance steps and your old manish ways . Mum, dad are fine but constantly miss you, alero, olu and angela are hanging on fine though we wish everyday you were here, life would have been kinda of easier. Victor is 5 today, blossom is a Prof in the making, Daniel-Jonathan is growing by the day and our new baby Nathan is smiling just like you. Mimi is fine, so is kemi, Words can't express how much I and the family miss you, sleep on Joe, the most selfless, caring,Christ loving and wisdom filled brother any man could wish for.We love you but God loves you most

My wife..U ve done what Napoleon could not do...just make a wish and Papa will deliver even if the shoe is tight',this would have been your reaction when you are told that I have put to be bed.The stress I have gone through this past few days has made thought of you a million times and wish you were here to encourage me and give me the support I need.No amount of tears can bring you back and you will always want me to be in the best of health,so i ll wipe my tears and be strong. It's ok,just know that I miss you and I also took another great part of your name for baby 2-Nathan.
JMode, i choose to celebrate you and all your advice ll ever remain fresh in my heart.
I miss you and wish you didn't have to go...

My dearest Uncle Joe, I can't believe it's almost 4 years that you've been gone. I remember our Unilag days (especially while serving in LVCU Drama Unit) and I can't help but smile. Recently, I saw a note you wrote to me when you came to visit me while we were in school and some pictures we took on one of my birthdays and they brought back wonderful memories of our years together. O how I miss you Jonathan!!!!!

Continue to enjoy heaven, my dear friend and brother, until we meet to part no more.

Jonathan, unbelievably you left us 1095 days ago. Since 1085 days ago we did not hear your beautiful voice. Since 1095 days ago, we did not watch you act in the drama group. Since 1095 days ago, we did not hear you say, I remain loyal. But the life you touched, the joy you brought to our hearts and the songs you sang to our ears before 1095 days ago remain in our memory. We will remember you, my President.

Jonathan, you left us on the 5th of June like another President did: Ronald Reagan. If you had left a day after it would have been on the famous D-day, nonetheless, you deserve to be celebrated like the Fallen Ones of the Great War, because you were a celebrated General in the army of God. And another Calvary officer - your friend, my dear nephew, Juwa- has now joined you in Heaven. Permit me to read Lauren Binyon's poem The Fallen to you two: "They shall grow not old, as we that are left behind. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going of the sun and in the morning, we will remember you". My President, "I remain loyal". Tunde Idowu

Hey Pappy Joe, it's been 2 years already since you transitioned from this earth riddled with misery and pain! I am sure you are having fun with Papa God. You did what you were pre-destined to do, lived the way you were called to live, and departed when it was time for you to do so. Though you are gone, yet we are left with your loving, sweet and precious memories. You left bits of yourself with everyone and anyone that was opportune enough to have crossed path with you. Sleep on son! I pray that your vacuum be filled and your family be cared for. Kemi you are a gem! The Lord continue to uphold and guide you in all your endeavor. Mum & Dad, remain strong and encouraged! Shalom!
