His Life

Jonathan OritsesemayeMode was born on the 27th of March, 1975 to Mr and Mrs Tennyson Mode at the Middlesex Hospital, Marylebourne in City of Westminster,  London. 

The first of Five children,he started his Academic journey at the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School in Lagos and then went on to St Timothy's College, Lagos for his secondary education.
Between 1997-2001 he earned a Second Class Upper degree in Economics at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
In 2007, he bagged a Master's degree in Business and Research methods from the Middlesex University Business School, London.
On the 19th of March, 2005 he got married to his lovely wife, Oluwakemi Mode (nee Oni) in Nigeria and they both moved to England to settle.  

Jonathan began his career at the Marina International Bank, Lagos where he completed his National Youth Service Corp. He then relocated to England and joined Her Majesty Court's and Tribunal Services as an Administrative Officer 2004.
In 2005, he moved to the Enfield Council as A Leasehold Officer for a year and moved on to the Haringey Council in the same position till 2008 when he joined the Newham Council as a Leasehold Consultation Manager.
In April 2011, he deputised as the Home Ownership and Leasehold Manager, a position he occupied till his demise.
 

From his youth, Jonathan was a great achiever and played various leadership roles both in the community and in the Church. He was assistant head boy at St Timothy's college, Lagos. (1991/92) and President of the Nigerian Economics Student Association, Unilag Chapter 2000/01.  
He was an active member of The Pentecostal Congregation Church, Lagos and served in the Evangelism team, The Sanctuary keepers unit and was the head of the Drama Department.
He joined the Liberty Church in 2004 and until his demise was a Praise and Worship Leader and President of the Men's Fellowship.  

He is survived by his parents, wife and siblings.
