This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, jong lee, 74 years old, born on March 18, 1937, and passed away on December 12, 2011. We will remember him forever.
I have /had special relationship with Jong Lee and it was mutual. Let me recall here one of his positives:-- Unlike most of us Jong did not try to cover up or explain past mistakes if any. Instead he would accept and try to rectify if possible. May he find the Peace that evades understanding.
Jong Lee is still of value in the College at Old Westbury and also to his friends, I recall the great attention to detail that went into the annual LIMACON Conferences for Math Teachers . Instead of making a big speech about equity he showed that by his actions. He put his friends first . May he rest in perennial Peace
Dear Jong is still a man of action not words. Hence he gave, not too many promises but always kept them regardless of any personal inconvenience . May Jong find That Peace and Rest that lasts
Jong is still fresh in our memories That is mainly due to his very positive or even aggressive nature as opposed to complaining one. He covered his very kind heart with a tough exterior but his friends know better May he find the True Peace
Jong Lee is gone almost10 years but still remembered . That is due to his very helping nature . As for students he loved them and was loved back. May he find the Eternal Peace
Dear Jong is still ( 2018) in our memories, as he will be with his friends whom he chose, then held on tothem. Due to modesty he never paraded his abilities as a pure mathematician tho he was a good one . In addition he was a "Peoples Person"; this quality enabled him to help people( legally!!) . This old friend prays to the Almighty of all religions that dear Jong may find that Peace that passeth understanding R.Anantharam,an(=R ARaman to Jong)
Jong Lee was and still is a very special friend to me in this Earth. He andI have enjoyedmany happy moments as well as some not so happy but, together in all cases. He had a lions heart .May he find Ever Lasting Peace is my prayer to the Infinite R Anantharaman (R A Raman)
I still recall Jong fondly and in gratitude. He was not perfect and whats more, he knew it. I feel that he would have made amends for any errors in judgement -- alas too late now. May the Infinite keep this kind heart in His Keeping
Jong Lee always had a soft heart that he disguised with a rough style. His students knew this and he was well loved by them as I knowby my experience with them. He was kind to his colleagues too but not weak by any means . Jong Lee was a strong spirited tho kind human May his soul be happy is my prayer
Jong Lee is and will be remembered for his high standards in Teaching and also math dept of which he was so protective. May the Lord give my very best friend Peace rajan anantharaman(=Raraman)
It is 2 years since my dear friend and colleague Jong passed on to better pastures. He had a loving heart covered by a strict exterior . His students loved him. I pray that he may have everlasting Peace
