untippable canoe

September 22, 2013

We sharded so many memories of our time together.  I'll never forget any of them.  Theres one inpaticular story that you and I still talked about not too long ago and laughed and laughed.

On day we went to Penn Warner camp group to hang out with my parents.  If was very cold outside so cold that the lake was frozen the week before.  My parents told us to take the canoe out in the lake.  You looked at me with the face Hell no, are you crazy Katie.  My mom told us this was the untippable canoe no one has ever ever tipped it not even the big fat man over there.  I finally convinced you to come in the canoe with me. We paddeled out a little and then stopped to relax and just chill.  Then like an ass I stand up, immediatly you look at me and tell me to sit down so we dont tip.  And of course I didn't listen and started leaning back and forth saying uh oh uh oh we are going to tip then laughing.  I remeber looking at you and saying dont worry sweetie there is no way we can tip.... I didn't get to finish that sentence because I tipped the canoe.  The water was ice cold, we grabbed onto the canoe and tried to climb back in.  Someone threw us a rope and pulled us in.  We got in the car and everyone covered us with blankets.  When we got back to my mom and dads cite they laghed and looked at me and said Katie whats the matter with you, you are going to scare this boy away.  I will never forget that.  I love you and miss you Joe.  See you up in Heven some day.

The storm is over now

September 21, 2013

I was in a tunnel
And couldn't see the light
And whenever I'd look up
I couldn't see the sky
Sometimes when I'm standin'
It seems like I done walked for miles
And my heart could be cryin'
Dead in the middle of a smile

But then I climbed the hills
And saw the mountains
I hollered help 'cause I was lost
Then I felt the strong wind
Heard a small voice sayin'

The storm is over
And I can see the sunshine
(Somewhere beyond the clouds)
I feel Heaven, yeah
(Heaven is over me)
Come on and set me free, whoa

Now in the midst of my battle
All hope was gone
Downtown in a rushed crowd
And felt all alone
And every now and then
I felt like I would lose my mind
I've been racin' for years
And still no finish line, oh

But then I climbed the hills
And saw the mountains (Mountains)
I hollered help 'cause I was lost
Then I felt the strong wind
And then a small voice sayin'

The storm is over
(The storm is over now)
And I can see the sunshine
(Somewhere beyond the clouds)
I can feel Heaven, yeah
(Heaven is over me)

Come on and set me free

Somehow my beginning stepped right in
Then faith became my friend
And now I can depend
On the voices of the wind
When it's sayin'

The storm is over
(The storm is over now)
And I can see the sunshine
(Somewhere beyond the clouds)
I can feel Heaven, yeah
(Heaven is over me)

Won't you come and set me free
Won't you set me free

The storm is over
(The storm is over now)
And I can see the sunshine
(Somewhere beyond the clouds)
I can feel Heaven, yeah
(Heaven is over me)
Won't you come and set me free
