My Mum was born in 1925 to Joseph Percy and Mary Kate Leese.  She had an older sister and a younger brother and sister.

She joined the ATS at the age of 17 as a kinetheodelite operator and rose to the rank of Sergeant.  During her WW2 service she met Thomas Brooks and married him on 11th January 1947.  They had 5 children - Lindajane, Richard, Peter, Thomas and Caroline.

My father died in 1975, my brother Peter in 1990 and my brother Richard in 2003.

My Mum and I had a great life together, travelling to as many countries as we could, visiting the cinema, going out for meals, seeing family.

Mum had 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren when she died, with no. 9 due in April, who turned out to be a beautiful little girl called Lydia.

My Mum died on 25th February 2014.  I love and miss my Mum so much.
