Her Life

I can see it more clearly now!

March 14, 2016

As I look back now on my mom, I see how much she loved us. The things she did everyday for us for all those years. It reminds me of a passage of scripture in the bible that tells us come to Jesus as a child. (That means having the utmost confidence without wavering and without doubt that He will always love us and take care of us). That is how it was with my mom. We never had to think about being loved or cared for. She did it unconditionally. A Godly character trait that helped develop character in each of us her children and my dad. We might not have acknowledged it as we were growing up but it was there all along.  Also her laughter. She was always laughing and that is such a good thing to do. She had a good attitude in the face of horrible suffering.  I am again thankful that she was my mom. I love and miss her greatly.

We humans arent perfect and we all stumble and fall short of the glory of God. We have a saviour, Jesus the Christ, who gave his very life to save us all who are sinners. His great love awaits us. We need to come to Him and walk with Him everyday. We dont understand why there are hard times and unexplainable things that happen to us. Horrible things happen everyday in the world.  It isnt Gods fault. He laid out the plan and we are to take hold of it, or not. Life can be very tough at times and unfair. Gods grace and love is greaterl Take hold of it and find out for yourself.

Take it from me as a personal testomony.  I was rough around the edges and misportrayed Gods love in my early years of Christianiy.  I still do on occassion. Not on purpose though. I am still learing and am gaining an understanding. This isnt about me at all but Him. Just giving you a point of reference.

He is patient and kind. Abounding in mercy and compassion. He is just plain awesome. Even in this great loss I see God's goodness, not harshness.  It is a time to reflect on our own lives. To see how mortal we are and that one day, we too will pass on. Think about eternity after we leave this earth. Only in Christ can we have eternal life. I think my mom would agree. READ the BIBLE. Its a road map for your life. Regardless of the hardships that come.
