Joy Annette Abrahams was born on October 13, 1960 to Norman and Pearl (McReynolds) Abrahams in West Point. She attended Cuming County District 22 country school and graduated from West Point High School in 1978. Joy worked as the St. Paul Lutheran Church secretary before attending Northeast Community College. After completing her classes in data processing and computer programming, she moved to Sioux City where she worked in the accounting department at Sioux City Brick and Tile for the last 26 years.
Joy was a very active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making arts and crafts gifts, especially handmade calendars, for her family and friends.

Joy was such a special woman. I got a chance to visit with her last year at the Cuming Co fair. Always had time for everyone, God got a good one. May she be at peace. God's blessings and prayers to all her family.
