I teach piano, and Joyce was always interested in my students, and who was doing well. She came to several of our recitals over the years, and enjoyed accompanying high school students for Solo and Ensemble. She played piano down at the MD Restaurant. I loved that Joyce took an interest in the music and in the kids. I always thought she was such a great asset to our community!

and hospitality she gave me on my many visits to Ft Wayne years
ago. My condolences to her family, I know she will be dearly missed.

Joyce was a wonderful soul who I will truly miss. She was always open to new people and new ideas, a thinker and doer. She was a long time friend and I hope she is happy wherever she is now...be well Joyce, do good work up there, and keep in touch.

Joyce was such a gracious woman. I especially like the photo of her looking down the river, ready to go. Joyce was always looking ahead - a wonderful trait. I worked with Joyce when the Monticello visitor center was in the courthouse and enjoyed the time I spent with her immensely! It is always such a joy to know a intelligent, thoughtful, thinking person who is also a friend.

Joyce always inspired me to GET UP AND GO! I knew her (seasonally and sporadically) for 15 years. The 2009 San Juan River trip was the only "adventure" we were actually able to share, and I'm so grateful for the chance to enjoy that time with her.
