Mrs. Juanita Sexton Parmer, 78 year old resident of LaGrange, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Parmer was born Saturday, October 15, 1932. She was the daughter of Katie Mae and Pierce Sexton. Mrs. Parmer was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Ladies of Grace. She worked for many years at Dixie Mill.
Mrs. Parmer was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin B. Parmer, her daughter Teresa Parmer, her son Doug Phillips and her grandson Doug Phillips, Jr. She is survived her sons, Buster Parmer, Mike (Dawn) Parmer and Wayne Parmer all of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Amy (Joseph) Doss of LaGrange, Jeremy Parmer of Marietta, Chuck (Kristen) Parmer of Pine Mountain and Joseph Phillips of Louisiana; her great grandchildren, Whitney and Blake Doss of LaGrange, Andrew and Anna Parmer of Marietta and Faith Chloe and Noah Parmer of Pine Mountain; her sister, Barbara Parmer Brown of LaGrange and her brothers Terrell Sexton and Richard Hill both of LaGrange.
The family of Mrs. Parmer will greet friends Monday, July 11, 2011 from 10:00 AM EST until 12:00 noon at Grace Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon at the Church with Reverend Donnie Benefield officiating. Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
