JUDITH ANN YARYAN 1941 – 2014

     Judith Ann Yaryan passed away on 5/5/14 at 5:55 p.m. from congestive heart failure – surrounded by her loving family at home in Santa Cruz, CA. She was 73 years old.

     Judith is survived by her brother Jay Hansen of Auburn CA and her three children: Charles R. Yaryan III of Santa Cruz, Yari Allen (and her husband Sean) of Rocklin, CA, and Daniel Yaryan of Santa Cruz. She also leaves three grandchildren: Amanda Allen of Rocklin, CA, Hannah Yaryan and Andrew Yaryan of Santa Cruz. She is also survived by her in-laws: Judith & Neal Odom; Ken & Nancy Yaryan – all of Denison, Texas; Doug & Glenda Yaryan of Shady Cove, OR; Robert & Kris Yaryan and Donald Yaryan – all of Calimesa, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Chuck Yaryan (Died 4/1/10).

     Born in Redwing, Minn. on March 4, 1941 to Earl and Ilo Hansen, Judy Yaryan moved to California when she was in the 4th grade and loved the warmer state and the ocean. Her parents owned a bakery where she enjoyed watching her mom decorate birthday and wedding cakes. When in high school, she worked in the bakery. She graduated from high school in 1959 and married Chuck in 1960. Over the years, she worked as a typist, stenographer and certified nursing assistant. She enjoyed trips to Solvang, reading, crafts, playing cards, Scrabble, Monopoly, bowling, movies and was a SF 49er fan. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and friend who will be greatly missed.
