Mrs. Latapie was born July 21, 1953 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late George Franklin Minnier and Anna Grace Lewis Schielder. She was a faithful member of Welcome United Methodist Church. Family was an important part of her life. She loved and supported her husband, Harold, and was a constant help for her sister, Freda, during her final days. She enjoyed reading, painting, cooking and trips to the senior center.

Survivors include: her husband, Harold Latapie, Jr.; one brother, Lewis McHaney, Jr.; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Freda Mattox.
