JARRETT, Judith Yvonne of Attica, age 68, joined the angels in Heaven on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at The Villages Regional Hospital in Wildwood, Florida. She passed peacefully with her family by her side. She lived life with purpose and passion. A private memorial celebration of her life will be held in June. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Judy was born in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Edmond Wilber (Bill) and Marjorie Lester. The family moved to Lapeer, Michigan where she spent her childhood and went to Lapeer High School. She moved to Attica, Michigan to fulfill her lifelong dream of raising and showing horses. Her hard work, passion and ambition earned her several championships at horse shows and national competitions with her beloved Half Arabian horse Seymour. Her knowledge of equestrian skills and showmanship gave her the opportunity to become a horse trainer and share her passion with others. Love and care of her horse farm gave her the most enjoyment throughout her life and the fondest memories of the lives she touched there. Judy had an interest in houses and real estate. She became a realtor for Century 21 in Imlay City, Michigan. She helped others pursue a lifelong dream of owning a home or property. She loved animals, boarded and groomed all types. Her love of animals kept her involved in many animal charities. In her last years she rescued a Rottweiler that needed her love and care, Gage was always by her side. They had a special bond and they needed each other. Her beloved Gage passed away in 2010 and her heart was broken. She loved to travel and made special trips to Florida to spend time with her family and friends. Judy had a deep love for and pride in her two sons and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and family, the beach and being on the water drinking a glass of wine.
She is survived by: her loved one and companion, Larry Armstrong; sister, Joann Lester-White; son and fiancé’, Clint Miller and Carmen Riza; son and spouse, Brad and Angel Jarrett; two grandchildren, Ciera and Devon Jarrett; a host of relatives and lifelong friends. The family would like to recognize the love and devotion Larry Armstrong showed to our mother in her time of need, taking her to endless doctor appointments, and the love and care you have given her over the years. The family appreciates the treatment and care she received from the staff at The Villages Regional Hospital. We will always be grateful for her compassion, wisdom, and strength. She was an extraordinary woman and will be missed dearly. She will live in our hearts forever.   She is watching over us in Heaven, riding Seymour with Gage running by her side.
