The Life of a Legend

January 26, 2015

Jules Reich grew up in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx on Barnes Avenue. Jules lived with his parents (Rose and Matthew) and his two brothers (Stanley and Lenny.) Jules enlisted in the army for two years, from 1955-1957. Following his enrollment, Jules attended the University of Miami where he played baseball. While in school, Jules worked different jobs at the hotels of South Beach, where he met his wife, Barbara (who was staying at the Cadillac Hotel.) Jules dreamed of being a phys ed teacher, but because of a lack of teaching jobs he took on answering calls and being a gopher at a real estate brokerage firm. Soon enough, Jules realized his true passion. Ever since, Jules was been a real estate tycoon, entrepeneur, and banker. In 1965, Jules' daughter, Randi Hope Reich was born. In 1968, Jules' son Jeffrey Scott Reich was born. The family resided in Flushing for a few years, before moving to Great Neck, New York. The family kept a house in Boca West to vacation at. In 1996 and 1998, Randi welcomed Madison Isabelle Kahn and Jason Harris Kahn with her husband Alan Kahn. In 2000, Jeffrey and his wife Barbara Reich welcomed twins, Rebecca Belle Reich and Matthew Ezra Reich. Jules' children live in one townhouse on Manhattan's East Side where he visited all the time. Jules had a house in Connecticut for the family to use on weekends and in 2004 moved to Boca Raton. Barbara and Jules lived in St. Andrews Country Club for over ten years before Jules passed away from a severe stroke.
