It's hard to believe that you've been gone for 4 years, but definitely not forgotten. You would have been so happy yesterday as your newest great granddaughter..Harper Layne Prescott was baptized. It would have warmed your heart to see Jason and Adele so happy and to spend the day with us along with my parents.
Love you forever...

Jill gained another mother when she married Rickie. She was the sweetest person wew could ever hope to meet. Her family accepted us like we were theirs--and we all loved her!!!

My favorite memories of Miss Julia are of her making me my favorite dish...a big pot of white beans whenever my family would visit from Atlanta. Rick would grill something wonderful, our kids were playing in the pool, Miss Julie and Mr Dale would walk over with the beans and we'd all sit under the tree drinking and eating. Good times...great memories!! Love you Miss Julia! Thinking of you and that sweet smile!

Julia was gracious, kind, helpful and lovely in every way. She was so helpful when I needed information about anything relating to the Town of Kentwood. She WAS Kentwood, in reality, and knew every inch of it and all about its residents. Her legacy will live on. Her beautiful smile was captivating and contagious.

Julia was one of my very best friend during my childhood years when attending school at Kentwood Elementary School before our family moved. We stayed in touch and would see one another during the Dairy Day Festivals. Such a beautiful person. What a lovely lady.

when I was a little bitty girl visiting my grandma (Fay Raborn) at City Hall, Mrs. Julia would always help me "sneak" extra sugar in my coffee that I just HAD to have when I was there. I know that's silly but as a little kid, I wasn't allowed to drink it except when I was at City Hall with them... and she always fixed me up good! I thought she was the neatest, coolest lady ever - all because she did little things to make me feel comfortable and welcome when I invaded their office. my grandma, Mama Fay, always thought the world of her and just loved her to pieces. she will be missed dearly. xo

I have know Julia all my life. Her first husband and father of her children use to come to my grandmothers to get pigeons. In the last 6 years she and I have shared grand-daughters....idential twin girls, Scottlyn and Skyler that belong to her daughter Ronde and my son Scott. These little girls were a source of pride for us both. She loved those little girls very much and they will never forget her....I will see to that. Heaven gained a precious Angel and we here have gained a guardian angel to watch over us. Fly high my friend and I will see you again. Love you Julia....

Her "in-law" family

March 7, 2015

Jill, you could not have picked a better mother-in-law. We met 38 years ago, and from the very beginning, I knew that she was going to be another friend in my life.  She always welcomed our family with a smile,  I will never forget all of the good times we had with her, Dale, and  the rest  of the family. I know that she is in a better place now, no more suffering.  Thanks for being there for her when she was most in need...I know she appreciated your care.      Mom
