His Life
February 23, 2015

Mr. Julius Wendell Sewell was born in Hogansville, Georgia, on a day marked for love, February 14, 1955, to the parentage of Willie Dee and Eura Mae Sewell.

At a very young age, Julius professed his Christian faith and joined Saint Mary United Methodist Church, in Hogansville, GA. He was a member until the time of his death.

Julius, affectionately known by those who loved him as Jupe, attended Hogansville High School. Following graduation, Julius entered the United States Air Force where he served until he was honorably discharged. He was later employed at Bonnell Aluminum Company, in Newnan, GA.

A gentle, quiet and observant man, Jupe’s favorite pastime was running. And because he would often be seen running confidently through the streets of Hogansville, Jupe was dubbed “Jogging Jupe.”

On Friday, February 20, 2015, less than a week after his 6oth birthday, Mr. Julius Wendell Sewell quietly transitioned. He leaves to cherish his memories: his brother: Douglas Sewell (Diane); two sisters: Bernice Johnson and Louise Satterwhite, one sister-in-law: Vita B. Sewell; four aunts: Virginia Robinson, Bessie Hardy, Everlina Jackson, and Catherine Sewell; one uncle: Joseph Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loyal friends.

Julius is preceded in death by his parents Willie Dee and Eura Mae Sewell, brothers Harold Sewell and Willie James Sewell (Vita), and brother-in-law Larry Johnson (Bernice).
