GARZA Justin Lee Staff Sergeant Justin Lee Garza, age 28, of Killeen, Texas passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 in a Ft. Hood Hospital. Justin was born June 1, 1981 in Taft, Texas to Homer Garza, Jr. and Teri (Bowser) Garza. Staff Sergeant Garza joined the United States Army in July of 2001 he was presently serving active duty at Fort Hood, Texas. While serving he completed two tours in Iraq faithfully defending our freedom. He received the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Drivers Badge, the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Basic Non Commission Officer Course , two foreign awards, Polish Award, Holland (100 Mile March), the German Sportsman Badge and Operation Victory Strike. He is survived by Alpha Braves; his mother Teri Smith; three brothers Mick, Chris and JoDan; grandparents Rita Ferguson, Homer and Hilda Garza; four uncles Gary Garza, David Garza, Skip Bowser, Brian Bower and two aunts Laura Houston and De De Stricker. 
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 17, 2009 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2009 in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with full military honors. Justin took serving his country very seriously and gave 110% of his blood, sweat and tears for his unit. He will be missed by all that knew him. We love you Jon.
