Karen Rivera (nee Christy) on January 9th, 2013, age 33. Mother of Jonathan Daniel, age 8, and Rachel Grace, age 5. Karen is survived by her children, parents Toni McLean and Robert Christy, grandmother, Anna Saracino, sister and best friend, Robin Christy, brother-in-law Christopher Joyce, ex-husband and dear friend, Danny Rivera, and her beloved cat “Minnie”.  She was predeceased by her grandfather, Peter Saracino Sr.

Born in Woodbury, and raised in Franklinville/Clayton. She was a graduate of Clayton High School where she met her future husband, Danny. They were married for 10 years and had 2 beautiful children.  Karen has resided in Galloway Township for the last 6 years, where she and her family regularly partook in local community activities and events. She spent a great portion of her life  doing what she loved, working with children in childcare facilities. Karen enjoyed spending time with her children, taking them to the park, going to the beach, reading, and always squeezed in a bit of time for her Facebook games.

Services will be held on Monday, January 14th, 11 am, at the Steelmantown Cemetery, 101 Steelmantown Rd, Steelmantown (Woodbine) New Jersey. Services will be private.
