Katherine Carmichael was born October 4, 1927 to the Late Johnie Mae and Willie Griffin in Gadsden, Alabama.  Her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia when she was at an early age.  After finishing her education at Booker T. Washington High School, she went on to be a clerk and retired after twenty-five plus years.  

She was the sister of the Late Dorothy Jackson, mother of the Late Barbara Stodghill and wife of the Late Samuel Carmichael.  

She leave to cherish her memories:  Uncle Leroy Baker; grand daughter, Kizzie Hogan; the Griffin Family, Miller Family, Hogan Family and Warren Family; friends, Priscilla, Betty, Bessie, Darlene and Thelma; also a host of other family and friends.
