We were at Colonial Beach for the 4th of July. Kathie was excited, pulling out bunting and flags to decorate the Yacht for the boat Parade. Maria and I searched for our own patriotic statement and found it in Kathie's galley. We went top-side waving at all comers with huge red oven-mitts on our hands. Everyone honked at us and had a good laugh, no one more so than Kathie. They had won awards in other years-I can remember Kathie and Jack rushing out to the club to collect a plaque-but we made that parade a memorable one even without the judges' consent.
