Love you Grandma. I look at the picture of you and Grandpa every morning when I to work, as it sits next to the two presidents busts Grandpa gave me. I miss you and want to wish you a happy birthday. 100th. Wow 100 times all of your kids, grandkids, great grandchildren and Great Greats and that is how many lives you affected, that think of you and love you. Thank You for helping me be a better person. Grandma Vittor we think of you so often. Thank you for being so kind to me and considering me your granddaughter. Thinking about you today. I just got back from Atlanta. Next trip I'm planning to drop in on Johnny. I think of you often, especially when tending my roses, fruit trees and vegetable garden at home. I miss you so much Mom! And yet, the weaving of decades of letters, phone visits, visits back and forth in person, photos, gifts, and that constant encouragement and the patience of a real listener surround me like the softest, warmest blanket of love imaginable. Today, on Mom's first anniversary of going home to be with Dad and family and friends on the other side, I'm feeling so many emotions. I miss Mom so much. We used to talk for hours about anything and everything. I always said something to leave her laughing. I loved her laugh. Also her hugs and smile.

Gazing out my window, two Red Tail Hawks circle, catching thermals. You and Grandpa holding hands, sitting, talking with a shared smile. I imagine it's the two of you, now in flight, in love.

Grandma, loving and remembering moments, conversations, thoughts and ideas with you are as constant and effortless as those Hawks gliding on the wind. I will always miss you. I will always love you

Excerpts from cousin Dante in Italy: We have always considered ourselves lucky to have a special angel "Kathryn" writing to us from America. For this is what she was, forever positive... in photos with her gentle appearance and sweet smile ever present. Her birthday cards to us arrived a day or two before, never a day after... She has always been Angelic, she now only has another address.

Mom asked us not to grieve for her; she had a wonderful life. I said, "Okay, but I will grieve for myself, missing you so much." She smiled and said, "Okay, you can do that." Mom once painted a scene of lawn, white-flowering bushes, and a white gazebo. She, Dad, her best friend Ruth and her husband appeared at different ages, having a wonderful time together. Mom said that was her heaven.

Mom gave each of us so much to succeed at being good people who leave more than we take from the world. Her life was exemplary and that is the best way to teach another. She managed not to 'direct' any of us once we grew up, instead being a friend and mentor to all. Her love and care will always be part of who we are. Mom, you will always be held close in my heart.

Grandma was the fairy tale version of a grandmother. Sweet, loving, happy, positive, insightful, modest, intelligent, a great sense of humor - she had all the best traits a person can have. I will always miss that smile, soft laugh, and the twinkle in her eyes.

I remember when Eric and I burned down Grandma's Green house by the ravine. Eric and I were being adventurers and took fire from the outside BBQ pit. Eric leaned to look under a bush & I bumped him. The bush started on fire. Ops! We tried to put it out with my blanket (we were 5 & 6) When we heard the shouts, we ran back to our beds and pretended to be taking a nap. Somehow Grandma Knew!

For a Grandson who didn't get to see his iconic Grandma very often, I have very strong feelings for my Grandma Vittor. Keeping us connected to the rest of the family with her birthday cards and notes, she richly earned the title "the perfect Grandma". Whether she was literally your Grandma or not, everybody knows her as "Grandma Vittor" - she was the best example of family comes first!

Mom was always gracious and a "lady"! Even when she was exasperated with us older kids at our bad behavior, she seldom raised her voice but simply assured us that Dad would take care of the issue when he got home from work! Occasionally she did find it necessary to apply behavior modification incentives herself.I much preferred that, because she didn't really spank us very hard!

Grandma Vittor was such a wonderful and loving person. Never forgetting a birthday and since my grandparents all passed before I was born I can’t express enough how much those cards to my granddaughter meant to me. My husband Eric Lund loved her so much and she was so good to him and the children. My deepest condolences to the entire family. She will be so missed...

With an artists eye for detail, she saw you, who you are, could be, and would be. Photographic Biographer, documenting family and friends lives and stories through the years. She'd be surprised that we see her legacy as a tribute to how she saw us and loved us everyday

Grandma was beautiful in every possible way. A model human being everybody should aspire to. We love you and will forever treasure the memories we have of you.
