I was nine months pregnant not knowing if I was having a boy or girl. It was a warm summer day and I was looking for my friends so that we can get something to eat. Went to my friends house and her mom told me that they were at the KFC ( it was'nt call that in 74). I start walking towards Hillen Rd when I got a cramp. So I decided not to go up there. When home and saw a Annie and she ask me if I was alright, I told her that I was having cramps.

She made me sit down and she start timing my pains. She told me that I was in labor. Well, I did'nt know. At that time my labor pains were about 4 minutes apart. Oh well, I thought it would go away. Not at all, they kelp coming. I thought if I would walk the pain would go away. That did'nt work it got worse. I went to Ms. Fields house to see if anybody was over her house. She ask me if I was in labor, I told her yes, she called her husband. Told me to get in the car and we went to the hospital. Lord, that was the must bumpest ride that I have very felt. I think we hit every crack and pothole on 33rd st. 

The hospital was busy as usual. I was'nt afraid just not sure what was going to happen next. The pain was getting stronger and I wanted the baby to come out so that I can get some sleep I was very tired. Night fall came and still I was still in labor no water had broken. I tried to sleep but couldn't because every time I would relax, I'd get a contraction.

Her father was tring to get to me but I was taken to the delivery room. Later my bundle of joy arrived. She was so little so sweet and helpless. All I could do is cry and hug and kiss her. They took her away, not know that the nurse was going to weigh,clean and put clothes on her.

Later that night her father came and told me what happen to him while tring to get to her birth. He was so happy and we talked about name. The nurse brought her into the room.

The next day we hadn't decided on a name. He liked Katina , I liked Katrina Renee. Well, you know who won. But that's alright she is still my Tina.
