(reposted from Linkedin) Senior Business Analyst Weill Cornell Medicine

The New York City Clinical Data Research Network (NYC-CDRN), funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), seeks to improve and streamline research by sharing clinical data across over 20 NYC health systems, including Columbia University, Montefiore Medical Center, Mount Sinai Health System, New York University Langone Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medicine, and the Clinical Directors Network.

The Project Operations Team at Weill Cornell Medicine manages the PCORI contract and oversees operations for the NYC-CDRN. I report to and work directly with the IT Healthcare Project Manager, business owners, and technology teams in translating the PCORI deliverables and NYC-CDRN technical vision into a workable plan. I support the Project Operations team in planning, monitoring, execution, and successful completion of technical deliverables in connection with the NYC-CDRN’s PCORI contract.

My Beloved Partner - Marjorie Fine

October 28, 2016

My beloved partner, Kevin Monroe Thomas died on October 27, 2016 at Maimonides Hospital. We have been together for four and a half incredibly happy years. He was my bashert, the man I had waited a lifetime for. We loved each other very much.

Despite excellent care from the hospital, deep love from me, his family and dear friends, the onset of a massive infection sent him into sepsis from which he never recovered. Kevin was a loving son of Carol and Laura Thomas, father to Stephen and Lissie, brother of Paul and late sister Marla. Kevin loved singing with Park Slope singers, was the director of a Meet-Up Divorce support group, dedicated board member of the Parris Foundation and his coop.

In June, 2016 he became Senior Business Analyst at Weil Cornell Medicine.  He was also a professional deejay and photographer who took enormous pleasure in sharing his talents with those he loved and believed in.

Kevin was an extraordinarily ethical and generous man—a mensch--with a strong belief in fairness and social justice. He was an incredible intellect who exemplified the power and beauty of logical reasoning, mathematics, programming and problem-solving. And did he love music!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Parris Foundation which is a Harlem-based community program promoting educational opportunities and fostering awareness in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM): S.T.E.M.ulating minds and magnifying dreams through scholarship and community outreach.
