ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Kim Gibbs, . We will remember her forever.

Kim was such an incredible woman, mother, wife, teacher, colleague and friend. Few words could possibly capture the fullness of Kim's beautiful life. I only know a part of her beauty, yet I am sure that each of us have been blessed to share different parts of the fullness of her life. My hope is that each of us can share stories about her for us to remember and give each other a glimpse of what a huge impact she has made on us all.

Please leave a short tribute here, add cherised memories/photos to the gallery or share a story or stories about her on the "stories" tab.

We will miss you dearly Kim, and will remember you forever.

I worked with Kim in the ''Precious Penguins" classroom. She was always in a pleasant mood; giving everyone smiles and "hello's" every morning. She was an amazing former collegue and friend with a heart of Gold. She has left too soon. I send my condolences to her family. May they find and receive comfort at this moment and every difficult moment that may come.

Although it had been almost a month that I met Kim it felt as if I've known her for years. When I started POA she made me feel welcomed & at home. Her personality & her spirit was one of a kind. My deepest condolence goes out to her family & friends & most importantly to her children. May all the happy memories of Kim help you during this difficult time. I am honored to have met you Kim!

Kim was such a sweet and joyful woman filled with positive energy that she brought to work every single day! I can't even forget her energetic voice when she answered her classroom phone saying “Charming Cheetahs”
Kim, We will never forget your big smile, and you will forever live in our hearts. RIP.

We feel so lucky that Miss Kim came into our lives. Her enthusiasm, joy, knowledge, and loving nature put our minds at ease when leaving Evan at school. She so clearly adored the babies, and they were over the moon for her. Our hearts break for her family, her children, and for her life cut far too short. –Amy, Gabe and Evan

Our daughter was absolutely smitten with Miss Kim from day one! Kim would sweep Izzy up into her arms every morning causing her to giggle, smile, and wiggle uncontrollably. What more can one ask for when handing over a little one? She was truly a ray of sunshine and she'll be missed terribly. Our thoughts are with her family during this trying time. - Natasha, Marcus & Izzy

Kim was Lori’s very first teacher at POA. Leaving my 3 month old at school for the first time was difficult for me.  Kim was so warm and loving with Lori and comforting to Scott and I that we knew our baby was in great hands. Kim was always happy to see Lori and her big brother Andrew even when she wasn’t their teacher. Her smile was infectious. She will be missed by our whole family.

If everyone treated people the way Kim treated everyone, the world would be a wonderful place. Our heart goes out to her family, especially her boys. May they carry on her legacy of kindness, take the same pride in their work as she did and bring smiles to the faces of everyone around them the way always she did. Rest in peace, Kim

I had the pleasure to work with Kim for a few months when she was assigned to my Baby Giraffes class. I found in her a good listener, a friend, and a great person. Everyday in our lunch break we used to meet in the kitchen and today I had the feeling that she was there standing next to me. Kim I'll miss you with all my heart. God bless you.

There are no words to describe the deep sadness I feel for those who knew Kim, for her family, but most of all for her. I know that Kim was someone who loved life, loved living it, and was not anywhere near ready to leave it behind. I have learned so much from her and am a better person because of her. Kim was a remarkable woman who exuded so much love and I am grateful to have known her.

We only had the pleasure of knowing Kim for a short while but during that time she put my mind at ease knowing my son, Caelum, was in loving and enthusiastic hands. It was clear to me that Kim loved her job and loved my son which meant the world to me. We will miss her and will always keep her in our hearts. Brooke, Kevin and Caelum Slama.

Kim was my son Jake's teacher in two classes and she will truly be missed. She was such an upbeat caring person who could put a smile on anyone's face. She also had such a warm heart and a great sense of humor. While Kim was only in our lives for a short term, I will always remember her fondly.

Kim was such a warm and joyful person. Before Zay was in her care she always quick to smile, say hello. While he was in her care she was patient & loving, always asking after him even when he changed classes. I am at a loss for words for her family & all her friends & coworkers, I know she was loved dearly & will be so missed. Her sons will stay in my prayers. She was so proud of her boys.

Kim was a ray of sunshine in POA. She was never assigned to be Sadie or Ezra's teacher, but often assisted with their classes. She consistently greeted us with her infectious smile and warmth. And even if we were just in the halls, we couldn't move past her without receiving a boisterous hello. We already miss that. - Rachel, David, Sadie and Ezra Berger

Kim had such contagiously happy energy every time we saw her. She was Daniella's teacher for a short while and was so loving and caring. Kim, with her big huge smile and greeting of "Hi Daniella!", made my daughter smile while giving me the comfort of knowing that she was in great hands. We'll always remember her kindness.

Kim was a light shining above all lights. She was so kind and caring for our son Evan Merriman. She was so much fun, having ice cream parties every Friday in the summer, and creating special treats for his class. We were lucky to have Kim in our lives. - Rick, Carol and Evan Merriman

Such a tragedy like this really makes me evaluate life and how quickly it can be taken away. Kim was one of the first people to introduce herself and welcome me in to the POA family. I will always cherish that feeling of warmth I had whenever I was around her. I know that in the difficult times ahead, we will all give each other the love and support that I felt from Kim each and every day.
