I had forgotten kit was older than me I'll always remember her as a young vibrant woman peace / love woody
When I first met Kit, she was the secretary for both the General Manager and the President of the Apache Powder Company. One might assume that a job like that would pretty much max out anybody's capabilities. Certainly her successors seemed to have their hands full performing it.
I would go in there from time to time and Kit would be talking business on the phone while she typed memos from the GM and President while at the same time she was reading her chapter assignments for the Psychology course she was taking. Without stopping any of these tasks, she would listen to what I needed and set it in motion or take care of it right then and there.
It was about twenty years later that the craze for Multitasking took over in Management circles, and it's only been recently admitted that most people can't do it very well. Kit not only did it effortlessly, for all that I can see, she invented it. She even remembered my birthday!
Tremendous grace, charm, humor, organizational skills and energy in one small package. I still don't know how she did it all. I'm really going to miss her.
