KorvotneyManyez Barber was born April 14, 1987 in Thomaston Georgia to John and Cynthia Barber. 

Korvotney accepted Christ early in his life and later rededicated his life to Christ on June 9, 2013 at Church Of The Highlands in Auburn , AL.  He graduated from Manchester High School in 2005 where he achieved outstanding accomplishments in basketball.  He played AAU basketball under Coach Red Prather and was the first athlete to get his jersey retired in the Meriwether County School System.  He was highly recruited by many universities but chose Auburn to further his education where he graduated in 2009.

At Auburn, Korvotney started all four years and achieved numerous awards and accolades.   Upon graduation Korvotney began his professional career playing in the European league where he played for Belgium (Aalstar), France (Nantes), Turkey (Istanbulspor) and Switzerland (Lugano Tigers).

Korvotney leaves to cherish his memories a devoted mother and father, Cynthia and John Barber and a beautiful fiancé, Gatina Foy.  He leaves his legacy with his children, Mia Milena Lancaster and Kingston Maddox Barber.  Korvotney has one loving sister, Shimeka Barnes (Damion); four aunts, Yekether Barnes, Rovenia Marshall, Tina Clay (Greg), and Hattie Pearl Daughtry; two uncles, Sanford Hollis and Curtis Barber; a best friend, LaKeves Prather; a special cousin, Veronalissa Barnes; and a host of cousins and friends who he loved dearly.

Korvotney Barber, a McDonald’s High School All-American from Manchester, Ga., averaged 10.9 points and 7.2 rebounds over his four-year career at Auburn from 2005-09. The 6-foot-8 forward/center help lead the Tigers to the NIT as a No. 1 seed during his senior season in 2009, earning All-SEC Second-Team honors.

 Barber averaged a near double-double during his final seasons on the Plains, scoring 12.8 points and grabbing 9.6 rebounds per game. After graduation, Barber played two years overseas. He last played with the Lugano Tigers out of Switzerland, averaging 13.2 point and 7.4 rebounds per game. He also played with the Belgium AAlstars team, played with France Nantes, played with Turkey's Istinbulstor.
