 SMALL history on Kristopher TARKPOR Scott Sr.

 In search of livelihood and a job in late 1990, Scott joined a group of emerging artistic group of young people geared toward promoting Peace after an unforgettable five months of terror in Monrovia. The slogan was "no war, we want peace". For this, Scott received two cups of rice per day, (rice at the time was like "Gold Dust" in Liberia).

During one of these campaigns, Scott received a note from a friend and the note read "Looking for someone that can draw maps or have geographic knowledge, contact the Red Cross. (Scott studied Geographic at the University of Liberia).

Scott securely put the note in his pocket and the next day he found the ICRC office which is now the present ICRC delegation.

He immediately begun work with a team of WATHAB FOs as a Map Designer hire on a daily basis, with a daily wage of LRD 20/day in December 1990.  Since then he remained with the ICRC holding many positions;
Map Designer, Workshop Assistant, Driver, Generator Mechanic, Purchaser, Impex Officer, Welcome Officer, Chancellor, IT Technician, IT Assistant…..

until 25 January 2011, when the Master called him home.
