I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1934, in the depths of the Great Depression, and grew up in the shadow of the University of Tennessee in the Lake Avenue area.

Over the past three decades, subsequent mayors and numerous entrepreneurs have built on the vision developed during his second term as mayor to make Knoxville's center city once again the heart of the region.

He spent much of the later years of his life in the Carolinas, but he remained a true Knoxvillian, returning often and spending his final days in his hometown.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Kyle Testerman. We will remember him forever.

"I appreciated and valued the work of Mayor Testerman when i worked for the City of Knoxville. While I worked for Mayor Victor Ashe we got to function under some of the improvements he had made. He was a good man who did a lot for his community. RIP."
