Larry Edward Boyd, 57, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late John Edward Boyd. He was of the Baptist faith and avid golfer.

A memorial service celebrating Larry’s life will be held at the home at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 20th 2013 by Rev. Jim Turnbough.

Surviving are his mother, Ruth Breedlove Boyd of the home, a brother, Jerry L. Boyd of Creedmoor, one niece and three nephews.

Visitation will follow the memorial service at the home.

Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Boyd family.

I wanted to share some encouraging scriptures. Death is so painful but God gives us hope of seeing our loved ones again. Acts 24:15 says there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. John 5:28 and 29 says 'they will hear his voice and come out'. God loves us and we can depend on him. Titus 1:2 says God cannot lie. This will happen. God promised.

David and I are so sorry about Larry. David was very concerned about him after seeing the both of you at the doctors office last week. You have our deepest sympathy.
